Regulatory Briefing – PRIIPs – KID Regulation

In a joint initiative between the European Banking Authority (EBA); the European Insurance and Occupational Pension Authority (EIOPA) and the European Securities Market Authority (ESMA), together the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) a new Key Information Document (KID) regime for retail investors was introduced through the adoption of the Packaged Retail Insurance and Investment Based Products (PRIIPs) Regulation. The regulation entered into force on 29 December 2014 and is set to come into effect from 31 December 2016.
